"Name doesn't ring a bell - does he owe you money" ?
No, not at all.
"If we had a bit more info (when was he building there,"
I became aware of Him through a Guitar Gallery on the ASIA Web Site. Time around 2004-2005 (maybe earlier).
"what kind of instruments/music was he involved with,"
He built Archtops, Rock Guitars, Flattops. Also, I think He He built a very old period Instrument ( a Guitar, maybe), as a restoration project. His Archtops had a Gold Plated Art Deco tailpiece on them. He was featured in an Article(s?) in the local paper. "reasons you're looking for him, etc.)"
I liked His work very much. I thought He was a talented Designer. At one time I was considering buying one of His Archtops. We talked quite a bit over the phone and the internet and He sent me pictures of His Archtops and Materials relevent to possible Pickguard choices, etc., I called His Phone # one day and I discovered it was disconnected and His WebSite was taken down; and I'm just curious as to what may have happened to Him ?
"there may be some folks around who could point you in the right direction".
AS I said I'm just curious. I wonder what happened to Him.He was a very nice, humble Man,He just liked to Design and Build His Instruments.Thanks.
